Nighttime Detour Route

The detour route, used during tunnel closures, was a combination of Timber Road and Oregon 47. The route increased driving distance by 15 miles--or about an additional 25 minutes.

ODOT worked with Columbia and Washington counties to enhance and improve safety along the route. ODOT maintained the route during the closure period.
